GFR

I’m 65 y/o female. Was checking my lab work from my endocrinologist for my type 1 diabetes'40 years. My GFR was 35 and my Creatinine was 1.58.
I’m very concerned but she is not. Want refer me to nephrology. Should I get another opinion.

  1. Hi , thank you for your question. Did your doctor give any explanation about why she wasn't concerned? Is she wanting to refer you to a nephrologist or are you saying you'd like her to refer you to a nephrologist? Some people in the community find it helpful to seek another opinion. I hope people may be able to chime in and share experiences. Additionally, I just wanted to pass along some additional resources you might find interesting: https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/diagnosis & https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/gfr-tests. Please keep us updated on how things go. Warmly, Minel (Team Member)
