Am I the only one that feels nervous and afraid of what lies ahead?

  1. You are certainly not! So many of our community members feel overwhelmed and scared, with a healthy dose of anxiety thrown in! https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/living/facing-fear As you can see this is just one of them but please know you are not alone! You can always come here to chat, vent, read articles, or just be around other people who totally understand how you are feeling! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

  2. Whether it is kidney disease or some other malfunction the reality is that sooner or later things grind to a halt. For some it is much sooner and for some much later. Some people die peacefully in their sleep but for most of us the wind down can be drawn out and increasingly painful. For most of our lives many of us prefer not to think about it so the sudden confrontation to be diagnosed with a disease that can have a sticky end may be alarming. Not at all an unusual response .

    1. I have to agree as I just am seeing it now with my mother. A force of nature who, now, has been... let's just say "reduced." It is a fact of life, difficult as it is, but you certainly are right aobut it not being an unusal response. Thanks for sharing. DPM
