Renal dieticians

Where can I find a renal dietician? All we seem to have here is diabetes dieticians. My nephrologist has no suggestions. I am at the borderline of low stage 3b and beginnings of stage 4. She says I don’t need to worry about diet until I am on dialysis. I want change docs but there is only one group in my area.

  1. We do have a few articles on CKD and diet if that helps..

As for finding a nutritionist specifically in your area, try posting in the forum section if you are comfortable with sahring your location. I can start the post for you if you like and want to share with us where you live! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

  2. Go to your local dialysis center and ask for the nutritionist they know what your diet should consist of. Ive been on dialysis almost 19 years. I know it by heart. Also retired cook! at 56 yes do the math . I have FGS. If you have any questions just ask i will do my best to help. One thing I can say about your diet is the less red meat the better. God bless you.
