Nephrotic Syndrome .. Rituximab put me in Remission!

I have always been very healthy and active.
3.5 years ago diagnosed with severe leg swelling and pain.
I have Osteoporosis so I can not do steroids.
I have been in remission for 3.5 years.
My Nephrotic Syndrome has returned. Returning for my infusions again. I am not as sick this time. I do not feel right. Mayo Clinic and my Internist checks my protein urine levels often. I am blessed!
I was very scared and emotional. I still feel this way.

  1. Hi , I appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences with us. I'm glad to hear you were in remission for over 3 years. I think a lot of people who may have a health condition with a remission cycle can relate to the fears of their condition returning. I'm happy that you have a supportive healthcare team and plan to try to manage your nephrotic syndrome. Please know the community is here for you, if you need a place to vent or for support. Thinking of you, Minel (Team Member)

    1. Thank you! Another member asked me about diet. Meet with a dietitian for guidance. So much important information to learn. Low sodium, less protein. Worth eating healthy. Specifics given and a food diary helped me.

      1. , that's awesome to hear! I know others have also found a dietitian to be helpful. Love the idea of a food diary too. Thanks for sharing! Minel (Team Member)
