What Is Something That Has Shocked You?

I'm in my second year of being diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. On my last nephrologist appointment, my numbers were pretty good. I just saw my primary doctor and she said my kidney numbers had dropped significantly and she was concerned. WHAT!!! Long story short, she thinks it's medication that she put me on the last time I saw her. So, she took me off of them and put me on something that was more kidney-friendly. (her words) She wants me to come back in 3 months to see her.

Has anything ever caught you off guard that you didn't see coming? I would like to hear from you. Diane (Team Member)

  1. The thing that shocked me the most after kidney stone surgery was that I even had CKD. I think my primary had to have seen my numbers going down and nothing about it.

    1. Hello , I know how you feel. I was actually looking through my medical records. This was how I first found out. I was in shock. I'm not sure why they don't tell us right away. I bet it has something to do with money. There are too many of us with this same story. Thanks for sharing. How are you feeling? Diane (Team Member)

    2. Hi Diane, I'm Paul Stovall. I found out looking through my blood work from 2023 my civilian PCP wrote CKD and said nothing about it. The VA did an ultrasound in February 2025 saying I have a cyst on my right kidney and they've known about my condition 5 to7 years and said nothing. Therefore I was unapologetically furious. I simmered down and been on an herbal kidney cleanse and detox for 3 months. Next week I'll take the tests and see what my stage and numbers say.As of now I don't trust MD's or Pharmaceuticals now, I'm seeking Osteopathic or Naturopathic therapies and Practitioners. I trust the Almighty God not fallible or corrupt able medical technologies and Wizardry.
      Be safe. Mr. Paul
