Symptoms of kidney disease

I stared out having alot of bad muscle cramps. I still have a few feet cramps but not as bad as they were at first. I have had some itching but as I managed my diet it went away. Have had dry mouth but since I have to drink alot of water it is not too bad.

  1. There are so many different symptoms of CKD that people don't even realize, itching being one of the most weird. As you can see here, it is actually pretty common among CKD sufferers: https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/living/cause-itch Different people have found different remedies, and there are few listed here if this helps: https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/living/manage-itchy-skin Either way please know you are not alone! If there's anything we can do to help from here, just ask! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. good evening. I hear you on the leg cramps. I had them growing up and then they came back as my kidneys worsened. I started taking magnesium and it has helped my legs not cramp up. The other thing I got was Theraworx foam on Amazon. It has magnesium in it and when you rub it into the area that’s cramping it soaks right in and starts working immediately.
Every once in a while I’ll get itchy skin on my back. I have back scratchers all over the house, lol 😆 It usually happens if I’ve eaten a lot of food items with high phosphorus. Here is an article from the Kidney Fund Organization that may help. https://www.kidneyfund.org/living-kidney-disease/health-problems-caused-kidney-disease/pruritus-itchy-skin

      1. , I just wanted to follow up and see how you are doing. Did you ever get those leg cramps under control? I'm having a few now and then. They are horrible and can bring you to your knees. We would like to hear more from you. Diane (Team Member)
