When Doctors Are Divided

I was feeling a little under the weather and made an appointment to see my primary care physician. My potassium was at the danger point. Of course, she suggested I eat more high-potassium foods.

My nephrologist told me to eat foods that were very low in potassium.

How do you handle this, that each doctor is telling you conflicted information? I feel I should go with my nephrologist, but my body is being robbed of potassium.

I would love to hear your take on this.

  1. Where you told to change your diet after diagnosis?
