My father's doctor said he would have an increased risk of complications like infections and vascular issues. It would put a significant strain on the body due to the procedure. He would have a high likelihood of falls, burdensome travel and time commitment. She also felt his quality of life would be worst. What do you think about this? Diane (Team Member)

At 85 and stage 4 CKD I would prefer to leave the planet earlier than have dialysis. However, unless your father has dementia I would suggest it is choice for him to make.

, I honestly agree with you. He is saying no he doesn't want to go through that. He has had a good life and doesn't want to leave this earth with a bunch of tubes hooked up to him. I guess as children we want them to be here forever. Thank you for chiming in. It was appreciated.
