Foods

  1. Good Afternoon. I'm assuming you are asking what food can we eat with this disease is that right? If it is I strongly suggest you contact your insurance company and ask if they cover the cost of a certified renal dietitian. Even medicare covers some visits. Then if they do have coverage make sure you only get a certified renal dietitian as they know what the absolute best foods are for your kidneys. It has been researched that a plant focused diet is good for your kidneys and helps them by lowering their workload. It is harder for them to eliminate animal protein and easier for them to eliminate plant protein. We want to take off as much of the work as possible and not stress them. If for some reason you do no have a certified renal dietitian in your area there are a few on facebook and instagram. I will list a couple that I have either taken a class from or have consulted with them through zoom/telehealth meetings. I do not get a kick back or anything by referring them I simply do it because I trust them and what they are saying. You can check out these links and see for yourself. They teach such good stuff and share amazing recipes also. https://www.facebook.com/vitalkidneynutrition
