Copying tips for anxiety

I've been struggling with my anxiety to the point I've kept myself isolated, but I know that is the side effect of my medication, and now I have to learn a whole new way of dealing with another major side effect of CKD. I would love some tips on your coping mechanism for your mental health please.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about the anxiety. So many of the medications out there do come with side effects don’t they? I know I was eat up Monday night because my doctors appointment was Tuesday with labs. I was so convinced my numbers were going to be horrible that I only got 2 hours of sleep and had to drive over an hour into Atlanta for my appointment and spend the entire day there. By the time I got home last night I crashed. I’m not sure what works in relieving the anxiety. Maybe a nice cup of chamomile tea or green tea, a warm bath, these are just a couple of ideas.

    1. Hi, Cindy Barton. I fully understand the stress of the hospital and hope your lab results are all okay. How did the doctor's appointment go? I would have crashed with all that worry and adrenaline leaving my body, too.

For my anxiety, I had a doctor's appointment on the phone, and he increased one of the medications which was first subscribed to me for sleep and pain. Still, it also can be used as an anti-depressant instead of adding another medication, which can cause serotonin side effects. Still, funnyly enough i had to go a&e because i was so unwell. They told me all my minerals or phosphate and magnesium were low, which I thought for a while because I had the anxiety come out nowhere on full blast. I even asked my doctors is my bloods okay and they didn't even tell me, so i was also put on medication for that.

It was a crazy few months, I must say, but I will also try your tips for tea as I am a tea lover.

      Thank you
