Chronic Kidney Disease And Our Mental Health

Having to deal with a chronic illness like kidney disease or any other illness can take a toll on our mental health. So many people practice mindfulness. I have never tried this. What simple practices do you do to relax? I would like to hear from the community. Diane (Team Member)

Hi I got an app for meditation and it helps track and record my sleep it helped me work on goals like taking a 30-minute walk, drinking water or having little orange things that help, as sleep is number one for me if I don't get enough and undisturbed I tend to have more worries /mental health.

I have had stage 4 kidney disease for 4+ years isnt getting any better as we all know..very poor medical attention where I go.. (example) if you have a chevy auto tht needs attention,,you take it to a chevy repair shop,, If you have a ford yu take it to a ford shop...I have a serious body problem,, so,, I take it to the one who designed and built it The one and only God of the Universe thru my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who also makes all of the Medicine designed to treat these diseases..My medication is my Faith in God.. he will provide all the help I need..

  Sorry but I failed to mention that I have an appointment at the Duke Hospital and Research Center in Nov..I need to hear the opinion of Teaching Experts in this field, and try to get some advice on medication that might have come along since this started, I see there are several on the market, but they all have severe side affects,, Aside from this Kidney problem,, I have been blessed with very good health for 84 good years

  It is my first time to Duke,,have you been there? and Yes I will let you know what they say or do. I have friends that have gotten wonderful results by going there for reasons not related to Kidneys..We all need to be in Prayer for so many others,, Remember,,God Is Good

  , I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis along with everything else. I went to Duke over 20 years ago because of those illnesses, and got other people to go there also. I had a wonderful experience with them. Keep the faith and keep in touch. Diane (Team Member)
