Appreciation Caregiver Post

If the world did not have caregivers then who would take care of the ones no one wants to take care of? If the caregivers and the nurses were not around, who would assist and help the doctors? Who would assist patients to their doctors appointments. When we get old, the world will not stop for us. Nothing stops for disabled people or people that need help in general, so I am grateful that they are around. Those moments that I was in the hospital and no one came to see me, the nurses were still there with me. They cared for and loved me unconditionally.

I have been a caregiver, too

I too was a caregiver to many patients and I must say, it did take a toll on my health helping others. Helping others with a weak immune system due to the medications can make you prone to getting sick from viruses and more. My caregiver helped me bath when I could not bath myself. They cleaned my hospital room and made sure I received my medications on time and just made me feel right at home. Being a caregiver is not for the weak. Especially someone with a mental disability. My autoimmune disease affects me mentally and sometimes when a patient affects me, I get sick as well. But I spent countless days and nights cleaning patients, washing clothing, and bringing them back and forth where they needed to go.

I love helping others, that's just who I am. Seeing those who family left them stranded at nursing homes or at their house knowing they can not take care of themselves, I love stepping in and filling that void that the family member has been experiencing. Caregivers are also those who defend you in the moments you can not defend or have the courage to speak up for yourself.

I appreciate caregivers so much

Caregivers are a family member or paid helper who regularly looks after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person. I remember looking after someone every 24 hours I slept and worked there and there were no breaks. No moments where if I got cursed out, I can leave. No one cared to check on this patient and to see what situation the patient was in, but keeping faith is what kept me and my patient going. They are doing much better than ever now. They are healthy as a horse but they always call me and check on me. Why? Because people remember those who are there. Those are the ones that matter. So appreciate those who love their jobs because those are the best people to have in you.
