Does exercising help slow down the progression?

  1. This is a good question. I’m terrible at exercise. It seems since Covid hit I have become a real couch potato. I just can’t seem to motivate myself. I need to try and at least walk my culdesac a few times a week. My heart needs the exercise.

    1. Hi , this is a great question! You might be interested in this article about exercising and CKD: https://chronic-kidney-disease.net/exercise. Exercise can help your overall health. It also seems like some studies are showing that exercise may help kidney function: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8101627/. But of course, everyone's experiences may differ. Do you exercise as part of your CKD management plan? Best, Minel (Team member)
