Acute kidney injury scare

In the 1st week of July, I started feeling extremely tired, had severe leg cramps, muscle aches. I went to my PCP and drew blood. My cr was 2.5, bun 60 and gfr 24. K was elevated and my co2 was 19. I freaked out! I asked for a nephrologist and went to see my urologist (I have tons of kidney stones and IC/painful bladder syndrome and type 2 diabetes over 20 yrs).

Anyway rechecked labs and bun, c cr and gfr were down. I finally get to see nephrologist July 29th. They drew 8 tubes of blood and September 6th the doctor's office finally called and said my labs were stable, ca, phosphorus and potassium and co2 were normal. No recommendations except drink fluids and cut back sodium. I'm anemic hgb 9.5 (on iron) low wbcs and referral to hematology. I can't believe no recommendations for diet ways to protect kidneys. I'm seeing a different nephrologist next visit, but not until December. I'm feeling pretty frustrated with all the delays.
